Vowels swim 
on my screen
jumping forth
eager to please. 

M and T 
Feeling empty 
squish around 
the vowels 
whole words I see.

M A T 
Welcome 
no shoes please
in an Indian household
we walk barefeet. 

M E T 
Handshake 
nice to see you 
hello neighbour
from the blogosphere

M I T T
Baking 
the oven is blazing 
I made some treats 
do you like prose or poetry? 

M O T 
Wit 
Sprinkles of sarcasm 
Bonbons of puns
too much is dangerous.

M U T T 
Beware 
My dog doesn’t bite
but the puppy eyes 
make you stay indefinitely.
