Twenty Twenty Three

The first day

of the new year

sparkles like the dew on

fresh grass in the morning sun

Hi all, this is a gratitude/reflection post on the past year.

2022 was an okay year. When we think of past years we do not think of the negative moments, we focus on the ones that gave us joy, or brought some happiness. When I made this blog, I was happy. I wanted to experiment with my writing and enjoy doing what I love to do. Somehow in the middle of 2022 my progress with my writing stagnated.

However, I chose to try again.

So this is me trying again, to not give up on myself.

And that is because of the lovely folks on here. You guys read my stuff and interact with your encouraging comments and that’s what makes me persevere. I enjoyed writing for various prompts, especially Sadje’s WDYS, KL Caley’s #WritePhoto, Maggie’s SYW and Reena’s Xploration Challenge. I would like to thank them, and you ALL, everyone that has supported my small blog, in some shape or form. I enjoyed reading your works, they broadened my perspective, made me see things the way I normally would never think of.

There is such a wealth of incredible writing in this community and I’m glad to be a part of it.

I hope 2023 will be a good year for us all, in terms of personal or professional growth and may we all find what we seek in the coming years.

Happy New Year!

Much love,

Aboli.
