I never understood sheet music
the notes would fly at me
like a foreign language
abstract and garbled in my head
You wrote me a letter
filled with music
symphonies and full notes
that I could not decode
How can I play your song
with my tone deaf fingers?
So I kept it within my heart
shaping it into a music box
that plays your melody
I’ve written this in response to Sadje’s What do you see #143
Since 143 in text language means ‘I love you’ what’s more fitting than a love poem?
I’m getting back to writing, I kind of hate the fact that I took a month break, it disrupted my creative flow.
Beautiful story/poem Aboli. I never knew that 143 meant’I love you’. Thanks for joining in
